New Heaven and New Earth: Revelation 21:1–5

Revelation 21:1–5 does not describe a repaired version of the present world but a new heaven and a new earth where God dwells with His people and the first things have passed away. The promise of tears wiped away and death ended belongs to that renewed creation, not to our present experience.
