Isaiah 53:6 explains sin as wandering from God and announces that the Lord lays the iniquity of his people on the suffering Servant, a promise fulfilled in Christ.

Second Corinthians 5:21 summarizes the reconciling exchange of the gospel: the sinless Christ bears sin for us so that in him we share God-given righteousness.

Isaiah 53:5 presents the Servant suffering in the place of guilty people, securing their peace and restoration. Its deepest promise is reconciliation with God, not a guarantee that every illness will be cured now.

Jesus died to bear sin, satisfy divine justice, reconcile sinners to God, defeat evil, and reveal the love and holiness of God.
