Isaiah 40:31 answers Israel's complaint that God has overlooked them by pointing to the unwearying Creator who gives strength to the weak. The promise is not that circumstances change but that those who wait on Yahweh receive his enduring strength.

This passage highlights how God chooses the weak and foolish to reveal His power and wisdom.
