These terms govern your use of sermonacademy.com. Sermon Academy is a division of Freestyle Media Productions, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What this site is
Sermon Academy publishes Bible study articles, study guides, videos, and related teaching resources. Access to the site and to our published resources is free. We may offer optional paid or donation-based items, and where we do, those are described at the point of sale.
We can change and test the site
We are actively building this site, and we reserve the broadest freedom the law allows to do that. We may add, remove, replace, reorganize, test, or experiment with any part of the site at any time and without notice, including content, articles, layout, design, features, calls to action, offers, email messaging, publishing cadence, and the availability of any part of the site. We may also run tests in which different visitors see different versions of a page or message. You agree that we have no obligation to maintain, continue, or bring back any content or feature, and that no statement on this site is a commitment to do so.
Scripture
Unless otherwise noted, Scripture quotations are taken from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain. Where we quote another translation, we credit it. We aim for accuracy in every reference; if you find an error, please tell us and we will correct it.
Our content and your use of it
The articles, studies, study questions, videos, and other original material on this site are protected by copyright and are owned by us or licensed to us. You may read, print, and share our material for personal use, for small-group use, and for ministry teaching, provided you do not charge for it and do not present it as your own work. You may not republish our material in bulk, resell it, package it into a competing product, or feed it in bulk into another website, application, or dataset without our written permission. Short quotations with a link back to the source page are fine.
What you send us
If you send us a message, question, correction, prayer request, or other material, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use it for any purpose connected with our work, including publishing it in whole or in part, edited for clarity and length. We are not obligated to publish or respond. Please do not send us confidential material you would not want published, and do not send us material that belongs to someone else.
If you subscribe, you agree to receive email from us. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We do not sell your email address.
Giving
Gifts to Sermon Academy are voluntary. Sermon Academy is a for-profit business, and gifts to it are not tax-deductible. We are not a registered charity. Gifts are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. We decide how gifts are used in support of our work. If you have a question about a gift, reach us through our contact page.
Not professional advice
Our content is Bible teaching and commentary. It is not legal, medical, financial, psychological, or professional counsel, and it is not a substitute for the care of your own pastor, church, or qualified advisor. You are responsible for how you use what you read here.
No warranties
The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of error, or that any result will follow from using it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the site or its content, even if we have been advised of the possibility. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the site will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty dollars.
Third-party services
The site uses third-party services, including our email service provider, our donation processor, our advertising provider, and embedded media. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy practices as well as ours.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the site, gain unauthorized access to it, scrape it in bulk, misuse our forms, or use our material in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product when we do not.

We may update these terms at any time by posting a revised version here. The date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the courts located in Virginia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
