Hebrews 9:1–14: Christ Enters the Holy of Holies
The holy of holies was a real, God-given room that no one but the high priest could enter, and only with blood. Hebrews 9:1–14 says that whole arrangement was provisional, and that Christ has entered the greater tabernacle once for all, obtaining eternal redemption and cleansing the conscience.
Hebrews 9:11–14: Christ's Own Blood Cleanses
The old sacrifices cleansed the flesh; Christ's offering cleanses the conscience. Hebrews 9:11–14 argues from the lesser to the greater so that worshipers may serve the living God.
