Colossians 2:8: Philosophy, Tradition, and Christ

Colossians 2:8 does not settle whether pagan thought shaped the New Testament's vocabulary. It asks a narrower question: does a teaching lead toward Christ or away from him? Paul's test is direction, not origin.
