1 Peter 2:18–25: When Submission Is Hard
Peter does not tell suffering servants that their circumstances will improve. He tells them who to follow: Christ, who suffered unjustly and entrusted himself to the God who judges rightly. The call to endure wrong while doing right rests on what Christ has already done, not on the worthiness of the person in authority.
1 Peter 2:18–25: Submission and Unjust Suffering
Peter calls household servants to respectful submission, including under harsh masters, and grounds that calling in Christ, who suffered without retaliating and bore sins so his people could live rightly. The passage shapes how believers face unavoidable injustice; it does not make an abuser's sin the victim's fault or command anyone to remain in danger.
