Luke 24:44–47: How the Old Testament Points to Christ

Jesus does not treat his death and resurrection as a surprise ending. He says Israel's whole Scripture was written about him and had to be fulfilled, then he opens minds to read it that way. The Old Testament points to Christ because he says so.
