Psalm 34:17–20: God Hears the Abused

Psalm 34:17–20 does not promise that the righteous escape trouble; it says the righteous have many afflictions and that Yahweh hears, draws near, and delivers. The psalm's comfort is God's attention and his final verdict, not a guarantee of an easy life.
