Mark 9:23–24: Faith and Honest Doubt
The father in Mark 9 does not bring Jesus a strong faith but an honest one. His cry of belief and unbelief together is the model response, and Jesus meets it with compassion rather than a demand for better performance.

At Bethany Jesus does not arrive on anyone's schedule, and he does not stand unmoved at the tomb. The one who weeps at the grave is the one who calls the dead man out of it.
