Paul does not hand us a technique for locating a hidden blueprint. He calls for a whole life placed at God's disposal, and he says the renewed mind is how we come to test and approve what God's will actually is.

Romans 12:1–2 turns the question of guidance around: God's will is proved by a renewed mind, and renewal begins with bodies presented to God in mercy. The answer is a whole-life offering, not a method for extracting a decision.
