Pharisees Sadducees Essenes and Zealots compared: A Biblical Guide

Acts 23:6–11 puts the Pharisees and Sadducees in one courtroom and lets their dispute over the resurrection divide the council. The New Testament describes those two parties directly, never names the Essenes, and mentions the Zealots only as a movement of armed resistance to Rome.
