Effective Bible study is not the accumulation of information but a willing submission to Scripture's own work of teaching, reproof, correction, and training. The goal is a life equipped to obey God.

Paul tells Timothy that Scripture is God's own breath, useful for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. Its aim is not information but a person thoroughly equipped for good work.
