Luke 2:1–20: The Birth of Jesus in Bethlehem

Luke anchors the birth of Jesus in a dated census and a real town, then hands the announcement to night-shift shepherds. The child in the feeding trough is named Savior, Christ, and Lord, and the sign given is his lowliness.
