Hebrews 11: Faith of Those Who Did Not See

Hebrews 11 does not define faith as optimism about circumstances but as trust in the character of God, and it shows that trust in people who acted before they saw results, some of whom were delivered and some of whom were tortured. The chapter ends with a promise still open: they were not made perfect apart from us.
