Isaiah 43:1–7: Redeemed and Called by Name

Isaiah 43:1–7 joins creation and redemption: the God who formed Israel also buys her back, calls her by name, and claims her as his own. Her safety rests on his presence through the waters and the fire, not on escaping them.
