1 Corinthians 12:12–27: One Body, Many Members
Paul insists that the church is one body because the Spirit baptized every member into it, and that each member is placed by God where he desires. No one may dismiss himself as unneeded, and no one may dismiss another as unnecessary.

Paul did not merely tell the Ephesian elders to be generous; he showed them a working life aimed at helping the weak. The blessing he names comes from Jesus himself, who called giving more blessed than receiving.
