Union with Christ as the center of salvation: A Biblical Guide

Paul grounds the call to holiness in a fact already accomplished: believers were joined to Christ in his death and raised with him, so sin's mastery is broken at the root. The commands to stop presenting our bodies to sin rest on that finished work, not the reverse.
