1 Corinthians 6:19–20: Does Exercise Matter?
1 Corinthians 6:19–20 does not command exercise, but it does place the body under Christ's lordship. Because the body is the Spirit's temple and was bought at a price, caring for it is a matter of stewardship, not a guarantee of health.
Matthew 5:14–16: Let Your Light Shine
Jesus does not ask his disciples to become light; he tells them they already are, then calls them to stop hiding it. The shining he describes is visible good works that send attention past the disciple to the Father.
