One God, One Lord: 1 Corinthians 8:4–6

Paul answers a question about food offered to idols by going to the heart of the matter: an idol is not a god, and there is one God and one Lord. But he builds that confession inside a discussion of conscience, so knowing the truth is meant to shape how believers treat each other.
