Parable of the Sower: Four Soils, One Seed
The parable of the sower turns on the condition of the ground, not the skill of the sower or the quality of the seed. Jesus tells it to sort his audience, then calls them to hear.
Parable of the Sower in Luke 8:4–15 Explained
Jesus tells a parable about a farmer sowing seed and then explains it to his disciples. The seed is God's word, and the four soils picture four ways people receive it, with fruit coming only where the word is held tightly with perseverance.
