Jesus does not bless those who merely admire peace or talk about it. He pronounces God's favor on people who make peace, and he ties that practice to a name: children of God.

Jesus calls peacemakers blessed and says they will be called children of God. The verse names a way of life, not a private wish for calm, and it grounds the blessing in God's grace rather than in results.
