Romans 1:18–32: Idolatry, Desire, and Grace
Romans 1:18–32 traces human rebellion back to a refusal to honor and thank God, and it names same-sex behavior as one illustration inside a longer list of sins. The passage is diagnostic, and it flows directly into Romans 2:1, where the one who judges others stands condemned too.
Romans 1:18–32: The Universal Indictment
Romans 1:18–32 does not single out one group for special condemnation. It describes a universal exchange of God for created things and shows how God hands people over to desires they have chosen, a verdict that falls on the judging as well as the judged.
