2 Timothy 1:6–14: Faithful in Fearful Times
Paul does not tell Timothy that hardship will lift. He re-anchors him in what God has already done and given, then calls him to stir up the gift, refuse shame, and guard the deposit of sound teaching.
Hebrews 13:8: Jesus the Same Yesterday and Forever
Hebrews 13:8 makes a claim about Jesus himself: he does not change across time. The writer places that claim between shifting leaders and strange teachings so his readers would anchor their stability in a person, not in conditions.
2 Timothy 2:2: Entrusting Sound Teaching
Paul's charge to Timothy is about transmission: sound teaching handed to trustworthy people who can teach it to others. A men's study leader is one link in that chain, and faithfulness matters more than crowd size.
2 Timothy 2:15: A Workman Approved by God
Paul tells Timothy to give real, steady effort to present himself approved by God, a workman whose handling of the word of truth is straight. The approval is God's verdict, and the effort is diligence, not a technique for results.
