Yada: knowing relationship and experience: A Biblical Guide

The Hebrew verb yada is the ordinary word for knowing, and its meaning comes from usage rather than from its root. In Jeremiah 31:34 the promise that all will know the Lord makes that knowledge God's own work, set beside writing his law within them and forgiving their iniquity.
