Matthew 11:28–30: Rest for the Weary

Jesus does not hand the burdened a technique for stress management; he offers himself. The invitation in Matthew 11:28–30 rests on his authority as the one to whom all things were handed by the Father, and the rest he gives is first a gift, then a rest found in learning from him.
