Acts 2:38–41: Repent, Be Baptized, and the Promise

Peter answers a terrified question by calling his hearers to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, tying that call to forgiveness and the gift of the Spirit. Those who gladly received the word were baptized and folded into a community that kept on in teaching, fellowship, bread and prayer.
